On every re-boot or startup the Folder C:\Windows\system32 is opened. (XP
Pro - New Dell PC).

Any ideas how I can stop this opening on startup? - have searched knowledge
base but to no avail,

Any help gratefully received.

W.

Greetings --

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
