fn key

I have inadvertantly used some keyboard combination which has turned on the fn key on my sony viao running xp home. The u is now a 4 unless i hold down fn. How can i undo this?

Sounds like you have pad lock turned on. Hold down the fn key and press pad
lock to turn it off. Pad lock may also be num lock.
