David Sherman

I have a friend that saves files to hard drive and then floppy.

When the file is save to the floppy the machine becomes
non-responsive. The opnly way to get the machine is hit the power
buttom in the back of the machine?

Macine is a 3 mhz Intel machine with 1 gb. of ram. Machine has Windows
XP and Office 2003. All the patches have been applied.

What is happening?

How to correct this>

thanks

Your friend needs a faster computer. Office 2003 and Windows XP
both require a 233 MHz processor or faster, and Windows XP
recommends a 300 MHz processor or faster.

Don't save directly to any removable media.
I've had this hurt me in Word and I understand the same caveat applies to Excel.
