floppy not showing

working on parent's computer for them, floppy drive not showing up. ran pc doctor, get msg: internal error, interrupt 13H API indicates no drives are present. i assume something is conflicting, but can't find anything they recently added that would grab the IRQ for floppy drive....any thoughts out there?
 
Betty, did you check in the Bios? Make sure that the Floppy Controller is
enabled.

Hi Rich, been several years since I actually did this kind
of stuff....how do I get into the Bios on an XP machine to
check that? Thanks for your help!
 
Betty, usually it's depressing the Delete Key on Startup, or F2.
