every five minutes isn't going to have your question answered any quicker -
just the opposite in fact.
There is not much you can do. If the data cable is plugged in the right way
round it should work.
Buy a new floppy drive, they are cheap enough. The drive is most likely
knackered.
Of course, you are remembering to format the floppies aren't you.
