Floppy drive A: always reads same file

HP Pavilion 533w, Floppy Drive a: only reads the last successful file after
hardware installation. Same file no matter what disk. I can uninstall the
driver, restart computer, windows reinstalls the driver. The disk can be
read correctly. But when installing a different disk, the contents of the new
disk are the same as the last successful read. HELP?
 
Most likely a defective drive. There is a small switch in the drive that
signals a new disk has been loaded. If this little switch is broken or
jammed, you will get the results you see. Replace the physical drive as it
will cost you more to repair the drive than to replace it.
 
In my computer,R.click on the drive,with clear disk,then select,open.You'll
see the files,L.click on them 1@ a time,then select delete from L.sub menu.
Close out,empty recycle bin.
