Floppy Disk

My floppy disk drive is not working. I looked at the
trouble-shooting for floppy disk and I am kind of confused
about the questions. It asked me about SCSI...I don't
know what that means. It also asked about restoring
access to the boot partition...don't know what that is all
about. And it is asking about the HCL device...don't know.
Can you give me any suggestions???
