Floppy Disk Controller won't install after BIOS upgrade

I've upgraded my bios with the accurate successor from the official MB
website. Everything seems to be in order except now my floppy drive is gone.
Upon each XP load it detects a new hardware, but when i insert the
motherboard cd in the drive it doesn't find a suitable driver.

I don't know what to do. I've tried inserting the XP cd, but that failed in
the same way the MB disc did. When i try to add a driver manually and go to
"floppy disk controllers" or "floppy disk drivers" XP simply displays an
empty listbox saying it has no drivers for that device. I'm all out of ideas
on what to do next.

Is there something unusual/nonstandard about your system or floppy?
You should be able to choose to point the Add Hardware Wizard tolook at:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\fdc.sys
or maybe just to the DRIVERS folder, OR To C:\WINDOWS\INF
if you've a standard desktop setup. The New BIOS may (I repeat MAY) assume
all current systems no longer rely on floppies (gone to CD's I'm seeing).

You've completely solved my problem. For some reason XP wasn't automaticaly
combing the inf folder and locating the drivers, having me assuming they're
not there. Thanks a bunches!!
