Flight Sim X will not start

I have bought, installed and even activated my copy of Flight Sim X. But when
I go to load the game, it begins loading scenery etc. However the game just
stops and the title screen disappears and crashes to my desktop. I have spent
( so far today ) 97 minutes on hold with the FSX support team at microsoft.
That is just TERRIBLE support. Anyways, I hope someone can help me here. I
have at least all minimum system requirements, and I tried the msconfig thing
with no luck...Someone please help. Thanks.

Emachines T6212 with 1GB Ram, ATI X700 Pro video card at 256MB and basic
onboard sound. I FINALLY got through to microsoft which they stated that I
should disable my sound card, A predator 5.1. I went back to onboard updated
all my drivers and yet the game still crashes. I don't know what to do next.

Oh, and there is no error message. The game loads, and when it says loading,
it just crashes. I was looking at task manager, and it seems to say "not
responding" at the same time everytime while its loading. I have also
uninstalled and reinstalled.

Go to start/run and type dxdiag.exe, go through all the video and
audio tests to check and try to lower the sound acceleration. You may
need to update the motherboard (chipset) drivers in addition to the
sound drivers...
