Fleeting Command Prompt Box?

Every few, I'm not sure exactly, hours, for a moment the black command
prompt box (I think) quickly flashes on the screen. It's so fleeting and
unexpected I can't read the title except C:\WINDOWS\ something.
Updated Ad-aware 6, Spybot S&D, CWShredder, and AVG give clean reports.
ZoneAlarm doesn't announce anything (but I've just turned up the alert
settings to show all).
There's nothing relevant in Event Viewer.
*I think* I don't see anything strange in the processes of Task Manager.
I'm about to run Hijack This, and then post the log somewhere.

Any suggestions how I can figure what this thing is? Is there any way
to keep the command prompt screen from closing when it appears so I can
trap this?

It's most likely a batch file scheduled by the Task Scheduler.

This generally happens on HP systems (but not limited to). It has to do
with calling home for updates, etc. To better know what is running, go to
Start/Run: msconfig/startup. Evaluate the list there. If you are needing
more help, repost and good luck!

I figured out what it was. It was the from Auto Web View screen saver
in the system32 folder. About a year ago installed it and never did get
it to work quite right. I thought I uninstalled but apparently I didn't
(I think I did it on a different computer and I confused the machines
in my mind). I don't know why it started to act up recently, and I'm
curious. But lots of things with software never get figured out because
other things are more important to figure out. Anyway, it was still on
Add or Remove, so I uninstalled. Now the black box doesn't show up
anymore.
