Flatten tables for Catalogue Merge in Publisher

Hi and thanks in advance.

I have 2 tables; 1 relating to products and the other images(filenames of
images). The images are stored with a link to a product code and there are
any number up to 20 images per product.

I am trying to produce a catalogue of products from these tables using
Publisher which only accepts "Flat" data thus each image filename needs a
separate fieldname.

How can i flatten the data so I have only 1 row and with say up to 20 fields
for each imade fieldname record entry. When i run a select query i get 1 line
per product times however many images there are for that product?

Or is ther a better way

There is a generic concatenate function with sample usage at

If that doesn't meet your needs, you may find success with a crosstab query.
You would need to have a "sequence/rank" generated for each image file.
