FlashPlayer does not work with IE6

When I access sites with IE6 that are animated and thus
require Macromedia Flashplayer all I can see is the
red/blue squares/icons in the top left corner. I
understand that the flashplayer is actually part of of
IE6 according to Microsoft (3rd party agreement with
Macromedia)so I should be able to get some help here. I
have downloaded the latest version of the flashplayer
from Macromedia - it doesn't make any difference. I
reckon the problem is with the plug ins or in the
registry or with the Active X control or so..

I run Windows XP and when I try to use animated programs
like AshampooWinOptimizer which is "surface flashplayer
dependent to run it" it also doesn't work. Same story,
all I can see are ten red/blue squares/icons so I can't
access the program at all.

My Window XP and IE6 are upgraded to the latest version
downloadable from Microsoft.

I think the problem is with IE 6 or XP not with the
player.

Thank you very much your help is very much appreciated.
