I created a flash file and exported to an swf, then inserted into a
powerpoint slide. I thought I'd followed all the instructions to make it
work, but it won't play.

Are there instructions somewhere else that I could try. Has anyone else had
success with this?

Thanks for any suggestions.
(using PPT 2003).

Well Taj,
thank you for that site. certainly interesting. Are they the creators of
the bean people. I use those bean people periodically ... sometimes they
illustrate exactly what I want, when I'm looking for a more playful (but not
too hokey) a look.

When I their instructions ... it occurred to me that I'd done everything
that it said except for one strange thing. I can play all the swf files on
my pc ... except in PPT. The only variable that I hadn't checked was
installing the flash player. It doesn't make sense to me, cuz websites with
swf files will play on my pc and my swf files will play. Anyway, I went to
their site and "low and behold" ... the sample on the site wasn't playing,
so I downloaded/installed it and now the swf in powerpoint plays just fine.
Who'd have guessed that??? It doesn't make sense to me, but I'm glad it's
working.

Thanks again.

Diana,

I don't know if you still need to do this or if this will help but I was
having the same problem as you before. I could play the swf file anywhere
but the power point. Then I luckly decided to take all the spaces out of the
file name. So it was orginally

' flash presentation.swf '

but I changed the file name to

' flashpresentation.swf '

and it works like a charm everytime now. Don't know if that helps but I
hope it does.
