Flash video - can't view in PPT

Hello,

I am inserting a Flash animated movie and can't get it to play. I am setting
all the controls properly by following the instructions from this page
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA010348071033.aspx?pid=CL100626991033

but no luck. I can draw the control and see the draw on the screen, but when
I go to slide show it doesn't show up and it doesn't play when I open the
slide or click on the slide.

Win XP, PPT 2003. I use SwishMax2 to create the animation.

Can ayone advise? Thank you.

I do have Active X installed and the movie does play on my computer and on my
web site. Thanks.

You might install the latest Flash Player on IE on your system. I'm not
positive, but I think that's what provides the control to PPT.

I installed the latest version of Flash. Unfortunately it don't work. If
there are any other suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

I've run into similar things when the file path is not precisely correct.
You might try navigating to the SWF, select it and create shortcut, copy the
shortcut properties and paste into the Movie line in the Flash Control.
Remove the " character at the beginning and the end of the line just pasted.
Doublecheck the Playing property is True and view the slide. Any better?

Yes, that did it. Thanks so much.

Interestingy, I cannot add a text box, line, or any other object on top of
the movie so it appears that way in Slide Show. Even when I send the movie to
the back using the <order> command, it takes precedent and remains on top of
any object while in Slide Show, even though the object appears on top of it
in Normal View. I'm guessing this is supposed to happen, but I wonder why it
does.

Thank you
