flash drive not showing in My Computer

I have an 8gb Patriot Xporter flash drive. On my second computer it
installed easily and an icon for it popped up in My Computer. No reboot was
necessary. But when I installed it on my first computer, after the
installation I was told a reboot was necessary. I've rebooted and the flash
drive is listed under Computer Management, both in Device Manager, and also
under Storage/Removable storage. But it hasn't shown up in My Computer, so
I don't have a way to access it. Both computers are running Windows 2000.

Could someone suggestion a solution to my problem...thanks.

Strange! What if you, in disk manager, right click on the icon for the
flash drive and choose Explore?

The problem is solved...I was looking for the My Computer icon to be at the
end of the list of partitions (as it was on my other computer). I just
noticed it was in the middle, where there was an available letter(F:). I
confirmed this by doing what you suggeste4d, and Explore showed it on F:
along with the files that were in the flash drive. My Computer has a long
list of partitions because it includes the mapped drives from my other
computer, and there are many. So either it just popped into the list after
I last checked, or I just overlooked it.

Thanks for the help.
