Flagging Messages

Is it possible that when I flag a certain message to remind me to follow up
the message after a week, Outlook 2002 will 'prompt' or remind me that I
have a message to follow up? What I'm doing right now is I still have to
manually go through all my mail folders to check if I have flagged any
messages for follow up. I want something similar to Tasks, wherein a window
pops up to remind you of something. Can I do this?

Anna,

I believe you can accomplish this with using Outlook 2003 rule reminders based on flagged messages. I am not sure if this is available in Outlook2002, but I would check in rules.

If the message is in your Inbox, you can set a flag on the message with a
reminder that will pop up. However, reminders don't work from other
folders, such as Sent Items, without the help of a 3rd party utility. See
www.slovaktech.com for two such utilities.

Hi!
Can you assist me on how to create the rule for the flagged messages (like
the criteria, etc.)? Thanks.

I'm wondering why Microsoft doesn't implement features like this that
are so commonly requested. People have been looking for this specific
feature for years.

Have you requested them directly? (e-mail address removed) -- put Outlook in
the subject line.
