Flagged items in the Inbox

I use flagging of incoming messages to know which items needs to be read,
which needs to be responded to, which to be forwarded and so on. However,
when following up these items later it would be nice if I could have
commented on the flag why i flagged the item and my initial thoughts of what
I wanted to respond, if i already read one of the attached items in the
message or to whom i was thinking of forwarding it to.

Please look into adding a comment to flagged messages in Outlook.

What version of Outlook are you using? Outlook 2007 allows for some customization and OL 2003 allows you to rename the flags in a toolbar. Abilities such as you are looking for will not be added to older unsupported versions.

I am currently using Outlook XP, but I am also familar with OL 2003 and I
have not seen the functionality i am looking for in either of these versions.
The possibility to customize flags in OL 2003 is a big step in the right
direction, but what I am looking for is individual customization (commenting)
of each message.
