flag a sent item

I cannot find a way to have an item in my Sent Items list to be flagged for a
Follow Up Reminder.
It will let me flag it & set a reminder date & time, but it does NOT
actually pop up a reminder?

Anyone's help is appreciated!

reminders only fire in specific default folders - try reminder manager -
