Flag a post to a newsgroup.

Is it possible to automatically flag or mark a post that I send to a
newsgroups. ie. Can I when I click send on a message automatically mark it
to be watched for further replies?

Flag it after it arrives on the server. Or if it's in a thread flag the thread.

News Rule: "Where the From line contains [name/email address], Mark the
message as watched, [highlight it with (color)] and Stop processing more
rules."

In some circumstances, Watched newsgroup messages can be problemmatic:
