Fix problem of Outlook 2003 not sending email when viewing Outbox

Microsoft, please fix the problem of Outlook 2003 not sending email when
viewing Outbox. ... I only send and receive when I click the send/receive
button. I do not send and receive automatically. Possibly, Microsoft only
tests the automatic method. ... After viewing the Outbox, opening an email
and changing it, clicking send on the email and clicking send/receive,
Outlook will not send the email. I have to leave the email open, switch the
view back to Inbox (or other view) and then click send in the email window,
before clicking send/receive to send the email. ... Microsoft, please fix
the problem.

It's not a problem with Outlook, but with an addin you have installed.
Several Outlook addins that use the netframework cause it - beginning with
the OneNote power toy.

Diane, Thank you, BUT. I do not recall installing any add-ins. Also, if
the add-ins are Microsoft add-ins, they should fix the problem. Have you
tested the situation I listed? ... Incidentally, I notice that emails that
are listed in italics in the Outbox will be sent and email that is listed in
normal text will not be sent. I saw it happen at a Microsoft roadshow. The
Microsoft professional making the presentation could not understand why the
email would not be sent. I later told him that the email was listed in plain
text and not italics. He did not understand.

Yes, I've experienced it with the OneNote power toy and another addin
(OutLock) - it also happened with BCM during the office beta test.

Look in tools, options, other, advanced, com addins... do you have anything
listed there? Uncheck all and see if it'sfixed... if so, add them back one
at a time to see which causes it.

Dear Diane,
Dah...i hate to tell you this but you did not answer John's question - the
add ins are Microsoft, Outlook is also Microsoft, and i have wasted an entire
day trying to send my emails because Microsoft makes software that disables
other Microsoft software. Did you fire all your programmers? Maybe you
should. This is beyond a joke. When, when, when are you going to fix it. Is
this an indication of what Microsloth thinks of its customers? The program is
Outlook 2003 - today we are in September 2005 and still you have not bothered
to fix it!

You might not realize it but MVPs aren't MS employees. We're volunteers so
we can't 'fire' the MS programmers, even if we wanted to.

I really don't know what an MVP is and frankly i don't care. All i know is
that this problem needs to be fixed. In fact i am currently browsing the
internet to find an email client that i can use which has some of Outlook's
features but actually works without bugs. Its sad that i have to do this and
its a shame that i paid good money for Outlook. Can anyone suggest an email
client?

These newsgroups are for user-to-user support. Have you sent your
complaint/issue to MS? There are some other PIMs out there but I don't
follow them since Outlook works pretty well for me.

I would gladly send my complaint to MS, but how does one do that? Companies
these days make themselves so inaccessible because they don't want to hear
complaints. So the customer goes elsewhere. I just downloaded Thunderbird and
it works good and really fast.

Sorry, no and no.
I have 2 Computers with the same problem. I uninstalled and re-installed
Outlook 2003 without any add-in and the problem is still there.
