Fix Numbered Lists

Is there a way to fix numbered lists in word so that they are all matched up
tab wise. In other words, I have a large document with multiple separate
numbered lists throughout. The formatting is all messed up for them with
various tabbed lengths from the left--some with 15pts from the left margin
others with 17pts from the left etc.

Is there a simple way to reset all the numbered lists so that they all match
without having to manually do it for each one?

You could look at Styles or use the Format Painter. Hope this is helps.
