First Post of Thread Is Missing

T

Thomas

I use Windows mail as my newsreader and I have been noticing that when I go
to read a new thread that usually the first post is missing and it's hard to
figure out what the topic was about. This is not after a long period of
time either, usually one or two days after the postw as made? Help please.
Thanks.

There are two settings in Windows Mail that may keep you from
seeing all the posts:
1. Go to Tools, Options, Read, uncheck "Get 300 headers at a time".
2. On the General tab, uncheck "Use newsgroup message rating
features". Microsoft has acknowledged that there is a bug in the
Communities features that may prevent messages posted under
that feature from appearing.

Thanks. I changed the first one and the second one was unchecked so we will
see what happens.

What Gary said.

Also: View | Current View | If "Hide read messages" is enabled, see if
disabling it makes any diff.
