Hi All,

I can't connect my Ipod (Apple MP3 player) to my PC via any of the 2
firewire connections of my P4PE. I had to use a dedicated board for that
.....

Is there a solution (I guess that Apple knows very much ieee1394 standard as
Asus does also) ?

Can some one give me a hint ?

Thanks in advance

I would say "stick with the dedicated board". I tried looking on
viaarena.com for a driver, but there aren't any for the Via Firewire
chip. This means that Via and Asus think the OHCI driver provided
by Microsoft is good enough. As long as you are using the Asus
provided adapter for the Firewire, that is about all you can do.

Also, you might want to read this. There are occasionally people
who experience Firewire failures of one sort and another. By
quoting this link, I am not suggesting that this is your problem,
but it is something to be aware of anyway.
