I Can not get a pci firewire card drivers installed. I know win xp should do
it automatically. I get error code 28 can not install drivers. I have tried 3
different brands now and still no luck. The cards work in a dif. computer. I
have an amd xp 3700 on a mack speed k8m8ms mb. I have tried all the pci
slots. I have checked the irq's for conflicts. Turned off un-needed devices
in the bios. I have downloaded the hotfix from microsoft. Please someone
HELP. Been fooling with this for over 4 months and need to get this working.
Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated. I have called mach spped
and ultra tech support to no avail.

Guessing

Your computer does not have a complete Windows XP SP1 or 2
installation, the Firewire drivers are missing or corrupt.

Did you get a CD with drivers for installing the card?
