i have a panasonic camcorder but it wont work if i connected it to the
firewire
windows does not respond

cane anyone help me???

Is the camcorder turned on and in vcr mode?

yes everything is turned on, it works with a sony dcr-trv240

These cameras require "OHCI Compliant" IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers.
In addition, there have been problems reported with early NEC versions
of these controllers. Check Device Manager in the 230 for this.
