I have seen a reference to the Security Center, by way of Control Panel. I
don't have an icon for that, but also don't have my Windows Xp firewall
enabled. So, I enabled it to see if the Security Center icon showed up in
Control panel, and it doesn't.
Also, when following the instructions for enabling the firewall;
1.. Click the Dial-up, LAN or High-Speed Internet connection that you want
to protect, and then, under Network Tasks, click Change settings of this
connection.

I don't have anything that states, Network Tasks, or change settings of
this connection.
Is this normal?

Security center is new with sp2, without the pack you
don't have security center.

Do you have SP2 installed? Security Center only comes with SP2.

Well, that is it, then. I don't, and most likely will never have SP2. I
must have missed that detail on the posts I read. Thanks for the quick
responses.
