Firewalls

If I have enabled the Windows XP Firewall, do I still
need to download and run another fire wall program (zone
alarm) for more protection or does the firewall in the XP
operating system protect just as well?

It is best to use another firewall. I have used
Microsoft's Windows Firewall in Windows XP but I don't
think it does the full job so something like Zone Alarm
or McAfee firewall is good for extra protection. Anti-
virus software and anti-spyware software is great too.
Some are free like Spybot or AdAware from download.com
(CNet). Make sure you keep up to date with Microsoft
patches and security fixes from Windows Update. To do
this, click on Start, All Programs and WIndows Update. or
go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Hi
I have NIS 2003...do I need anything else (like spyware)?
Also, I do not have the XP firewall enabled...should I? I
have all patches installed...do I need to worry about
getting them asap since NIS 2003 seems to work so well?
Thanks
Sheila
