If I run Zone Alarm, is it ok to have the XP firewall still enabled?

Run ONE or the OTHER. Not both.

Think of it as possibly acting like a double negative in a sentence..
Canceling the other out.

According to the Zone Alarm forum, apparently so.Zone
Alarm was built to compliment it,as I understand.

Zone Alarm users will no doubt be able to confirm this.

Hmm... Okay - I stand corrected.
Obviously you can use them together.
*lowers head in shame*

(It is an interesting idea though, build a firewall to compliment the one
already in XP..)

No worries,Shenan,

I'd have had the precise reaction -one or t'other, til I
read about it a while back. There again,didn't/doesn't ol'
Stevie-Boy work with Microsoft?

I guess,we ought to emphasise:This is ONLY applicable to
ZoneAlarm + XPs inbuilt firewall.

I run a dial up connection; do you think it is necessary to run Zone Alarm.
I have read that the built in XP is sufficient and that if you have
broadband, then you would need Zone Alarm. What is your take? Do you think
someone like me would need Zone Alarm?

Zone Alarm is a much better firewall than the piece of junk included with
XP.
