I have Skybot and McAfee installed on my computer. Can I turn off my Windows
XP Firewall and still have protection? What is the difference between the XP
Firewall and having the Skybot and McAfee software? I ask because I am
having problems getting to a certain web site...it lets me in half way and
then stops. I need to access this website on a daily basis and work in it
for hours at a time. When I shut off the XP Firewall, everything works just
fine.

Skybot? Do you perhaps mean "Spybot Search and Destroy"?

McAfee is a company, not a product. What product or products from McAfee do
you have installed?

You need to have *some* firewall ruinning. If the McAfee products you run
include a firewall, yes. Otherwise no.

I didn't ask twice, I had two different questions. The first was how to fix
the xp firewall problem, the second was what is the differece between the xp
firewall, McAfee and Skybot?
