Firewall

Can anyone recommend a good free firewall? I used to use Sygate, but they
are no longer in business, and I decided to get a different firewall.

I would only use Windows Firewall that is bundled free with XP SP2. A
lease you know it is from Microsoft.

There probably isn't a product on hte market, whether it's a computer
product or any other kind, that you can't hear nasty things about. It
doesn't matter what it is, some people will like it and others won't.

As I said, I've had no problems with ZA. I have it on three systems here and
have put it on the computers of many other people, none of whom have had a
problem with it.

Hardware firewalls only filter "incoming" traffic.
s/w firewalls can be configured to control
"outgoing" traffic also. It's good to have BOTH.

Kerio Personal firewall is a good alternative. They were going out of
business but have been resurrected by another company.
