Are there efficient Firewalls that can be ran in tandem
with the XP firewall and not be in conflict? Is it better
to disable the XP FW and run the replacement only?
 
Yes, sure. For example, Agnitum Outpost Firewall - it's easy to use,
configure and possibly it's the best firewall solution for home users. You
can disable Windows Firewall, if you've got another, more advanced and
greatly improving security software.
