firewall

i am trying to run the file shareing program bear share and it keeps running
into a problem and has to close.I checked my firewall staus and changed it to
allow bearshare but bear share keeps saying the tcp fw is still firewalled so
i turn the firewall off and it still says it is firewalled after trying to
connect and then has to close.can anybody help?
