Hi,

Should I need to modify my router firewall settings to use frontpage
2002 to edit my webpages online?
Do I need to open any ports?

Thanks,

SW

I didn't, with two different routers.
Why I'm asking is because I've had trouble all day with opening my web,
and out of desperation phoned my ISP - I thought it was their fault.
The support guy suggested I removed any firewalls (!!).
OK, I switched off the firewall on my router and now I can get to my web
with no problems.

And now I've got to remember to switch it back on.

OK. Good to know.

just set it to allow fp through, then you shouldn't have to turn it
completely off.

I have had some issues with publishing webs from a Windows network to a
Windows2003 server. Where I am publishing from is behind a Small Business
Server network through ISA2004 which also proxy's. I had to put the
FrontPage web address that I publish to in the "do not proxy" list in IE in
order to get it to publish. I'm not sure just why but that is what cured my
problem. If you or your ISP is using a proxy that may be the problem.
