Do 3rd party firewall settings for cookies overide IE7's cookie handling
rules? I have asked Symantic to advise me but the slopheads tried to sell me
an upgrade and said 'ask Microsoft' tut tut tut.PLUS
while I'm here does anyone know how I can turn off OneCare notifications? THx.

According to one OneCare MVP (Stephen Boots) there is no way you can turn
off these notifications at the moment. Others are complaining about the same
thing too & Steven says he'll pass these coments on to the OneCare team.

Here's the forum for OneCare which you will need to sign in with your
passport account:

As for the firewall. IE handles the cache but the firewall/anti spyware
check the cached entries to see if any are tracking cookies etc. If so,
gives you to chance to delete them, which I have already written in code
too.

Sorry that I cannot be of any more help,
