The firewall was installed when Windows XP was loaded
onto my new computer. I could not receive any
attachments. So, I disabled the firewall and still
cannot receive attachments. What is the problem? Please
help. Thanks.

Ruth :
Go to Tools menu|Options|Security tab|uncheck Do not allow attachments that
could contain virus to save or open.
This option protects against virus attacks so check it back as soon as you
receive attachments.
The firewall is not the cause so keep it enabled.

If you disabled the firewall, and still cab't receive the attachments.
Then, It's not the firewall stopping. Duh!

Outlook Express has a secutiry feature to help keep people like you
from getting infected by a virus.
