Firewall is off

I have installed Microsoft's Antispyware program. Appears
to be working and doing what it is supposed to do. However
the WindowsXp Firewall stop working

I am running XP professional with SP2 installed.

Much to my relief, the fix really did fix!

Open Start > All Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt

Type "netsh winsock reset" and press enter then follow all the prompts and
then reboot.

You should then run a FULL virus scan after that run a FULL AntiSpyware.

This is normally caused by the Spyware that has been removed by the anti
spyware software. It has been covered in this and many other groups before
your post. A quick search in OE returns many people who complain of the same
thing. It is also covered in the FAQ for the product.
