I am using SBS 03 Prem with win XP sp2. After I installed Symantec AV 9.0 on
one of my workstation I am unable to logon to the internet. Only the Admin
can log on to the internet from that workstation.
Also when I check the win firewall exception tab the add program is grey.
How do I correct these problems.

I encountered a similar problem after upgrading to NIS 2005 AntiSpyware Edition.
Symantec tech support said "Symantec strongly recommends against using Norton
Internet Security and the Windows XP firewall at the same time." Go to Control
Panel>Windows Firewall and turn it off. This should then allow Internet access.

Thanks for your response. It turns out that Symantec AV 9.0 was not the
problem. I reformat my HD and reinstall Win xp sp2 only and was able to log
onto the internet from that workstation. I then ran the update for win xp sp2
and I am back to the same problem. I can only access the internet from that
workstation when I log on as the administrator. No other user can get the
internet from that station but can do so from the other stations some of
which is running win xp sp2.
I was able to resolve the add program problem with the Firewall by runing
the gpupdate/force command.
