First the bad news :

My "Close Tab On Double Click" extension didn't work on the latest
Firefox.

Now for the good news :

My "Close Tab On Double Click" extension didn't work on the latest
Firefox.

I went to the home page at :

http://www.twannos-extensions.tk/ and find that this extension has
been re-named and greatly improved. It gives a great many more
options than the previous one. Now called the Tab Clicking Options
extension. Well worth checking out IMO. :)

Regards, John.

What's the difference?

Besides, you can close tabs with a single middle-click on Firefox,
without the need to install any extension. :)

The second one has a smiley after it. Invisible perhaps but definitely
there. :)

True, but the new extension allows "close tabs" on more than just a
middle click.
