IE 7 does some of these things...but you kind of clinched it on the "It works" statement...

My biggest concern would be compatibility... but it looks like it's worth a bash

Firefox is more "compatable" than IE6/IE7/IE7+ ... even Opera does a better job than IE.

The one problem you might have is accessing some online banking services, but you can always just open IE when you need to.

Firefox doesn't enjoy playing wmv files on the net for me, and I have to use IE for paypal.

2 very insignificant problems.

I would never switch back to IE.

If you really want the insecurity of IE and really "need" wmv ... then why not "plug-it-in" ...

Just type in your City / Town and have fun ... my nearest station is Blackpool, same as Linux.
