Fire wire ieee 1394

Cliff

I've installed a 3 port fire wire PCI card in a computer
running XP Pro. The card is recognized correctly but XP
also wants to configure it as a network card. (I only
want to use it as a Video capture card.) After XP tries
to load it as a network card, my firewall software wants
to make changes in my network settings then I can't
connect to the internet.

Any ideas how to prevent XP from loading the network
drivers???

Let it load them.... (sometimes it's bette to let XP do its thing) and then
go into the Device Manager and under NIC Adapters, right click on the 1394
NIC Adapter and select Disable.
