Finished DVD cuts off top of image

I burned a CD using Sonic MyDVD 5.0. The finished picture seems too large as
the tops and bottoms are cut off (so especially heads)

I tried a number of formats before burning the CD, saving the Movie as
DV-AVI, High quality video (large), High quality video (small), and Best
quality for playback on my computer.

All formats, when burned to DVD, come out the same with the tops cut off.

I've used up a lot of time (and blank DVDs).
I would appreciate some advice.

Unfortunately this is normal. With most software the "normal viewable area"
is marked either by corner brackets or simply a square box.

Well that's clear.
MyDVD shows the "viewable are" but there's no way for me to correlate to
that viewing area when building in Movie Maker.
I'm asking what adjustment I can make in a Movie Maker project to avoid this.

A good rule of thumb is to avoid 10% of all borders with anything important
to your movie.... something you need to do mentally without the safe zone
provided by some DVD software.
