Finish installing Windows Media Player?

I have no idea what may have caused this problem, but today when I
tried to play a .wmv file I got this error message:

"To finish installing Windows Media Player, restart your computer and
log on as an administrator or member of the Administrators group."

I am the only "user" of this computer and thus I am the administrator.
Rebooting or loging out and back in again does not fix the problem.
Unless automatic update installed something, I have not installed
Media Player for quite some time and it was working fine since then.

Re-installled WMP 11. Works fine now.[/QUOTE]
