fingerprint reader

can I set up a fingerprint reader to log into an access 2003 database? Users
must be able to logon to the computer normally, but use the fingerprint
reader for user verification to login to the database.

Thanks!

I don't believe it is possible. Access security does not tie into the
operating system.

I have a Microsoft branded fingerprint reader. I use it to log onto
my own system and to log on to web pages in Internet Explorer. So
the software has installed it's own Windows login screen and some kind
of plugin into IE.

Any fingerprint scanner would need to do the same thing with Access.
I very much doubt anyone has as I would suspect that the market place
simply isn't there. Also there may not be any "hooks" in Access to
install such.

Finally I've never heard about such. Now I'm not saying I know
everything about Access but I know a lot.
