Finding the parent object of a file or folder?

W

William Fields

Hello,

I'm trying to determine the parent object of a file or folder on a WinXP SP2
NTFS partition. Sorry for the cross-post, but the WinXP groups don't list
anything to do with the filesystem.

Also, is there a way to search for all files/folders who's ownership is set
to a GUID? Meaning, I've deleted some user accounts on the workstation and
I'd like to transfer ownership of all their folders/files to the
administrators group.

Thanks.
