Finding popup loader

While surfing, I've picked up a program that opens IE and queries a rotating series of popup ad sites. I've tried the popular spyware and hijacker programs including AdAware, Spybot, CWS Shredder and HijackThis. They aren't finding it. Obviously, it's a program that is instructing IE to open and find a particular web address. Because I'm on a cable modem and constantly online, when I get home, I find 10-15 pages open to various ads. How can I locate the offending program?

in ie disable third party browser extensions,,in
tools,options,advanced. and scan for a trojan virus.
and spybot is now version 1.3
and get a key shut off connector for your cable modem to
keep your computer pure, when you are not there.
also check task manager. also .start ,run, type msconfig
,, and see what is starting up .

from the experts.

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] Latest version is 1.98.

Unzip the Download file in a NEW FOLDER that you can create before you start
the download.
DO NOT install in your Desktop folder.
DO NOT use any of the TEMP folders that are presently in your computer.
Double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:
