Finding Non True Type Fonts

I'm trying to use Courier (not Courier New) for a manuscript. The font is in my fonts folder but does not appear in the list on the formatting toolbar. How do I get at it?

It is very likely a system (display) font that won't print, which is why
Word doesn't list it. You can force Word to use it for display (by typing
the font name into the box), but it still won't be used for printing.
