Finding deleted files in temp folder?

I recall having files magically disappearing, then being able to find it
again in a secret temp folder? Does that feature still exist? Where are
these files typically stored?

Open Windows Explorer, in the address bar, type %temp%...
Or in a folder similar to this
C:\Documents and Settings\>>user name<<\Local Settings\Temp
