finding and backing up email files?

I believe with Windows Mail (in Vista of course)- all emails now exist as
separate files? Where are they so I can back them up?

To see your storage location,
Open Windows Mail,
go to Tools - Options - Advanced - Maintenance - Store Folder

It's normally C:\Users\<yourlogin>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

\Appdata is normally hidden

Email messages are stored as individual .eml files.

Contacts are stored in C:\Users\<yourlogin>\Contacts
