Is there a brand I could look for, or some other indication, or a
vendor I could buy from, for desk-top cases that are easy to open and
close. It has to have at least 3 large bays and 1 small bay showing
and at least 2 other 3 1/2" bays. More would be better.

For easy-to-open-and-close, does it help to spend more money? The
only one I've seen lately is 60 dollars at a small computer shop.

(The case I'm working with now is for a friend of mine. For myself I
want a desk-top case.)

how easy? I use thumb screws to hold the left side panel on. makes it
easier to open any normal case.

I have an X-Alien case. Side is hinged for REAL easy opening. Drive
bays are a snap to remove, just squeeze the sides and pull them out.
