Hi!
I have multiple worksheets in my file. How can I use find and replace over
all of them instead of going into each individual worksheet?

Thanks much!

hi,
what version of xl are you using. I think in 2k or higher(don't quote me on
this) there is an option button on the find dialog box which allows search by
sheet or workbook. if not. post back. i have a little diddy that does that.

Hi,
I have 2k but the find option lets you select formulas, values or comments
only not workbook. But does your diddy do replace at the same time? I would
like to find and automatically replace in all instances.
Thanks,

Your searching by workbook diddy would still be helpful if you could post.
Thanks much!

In xl2k and below, you can group the sheets you want to search and do an
edit|Replace.

In xl2002+, you can specify that you want to search the whole workbook (still
one value at a time).

In all versions of excel, you could use Jan Karel Pieterse's FlexFind:

crap now I feel like an idiot! The simplest idea is the one that works. I
was thinking for a too complex solution!
